At Weatherford Regional Hospital our laboratory department operates 24/7 every day of the year, assisting providers to make accurate diagnosis of numerous diseases and illnesses. Our lab is equipped with the most up to date equipment allowing for specimen analysis in microbiology, hematology, urinalysis, and many more. From emergency diagnostics to seasonal illnesses, our lab department is here for you.
Your doctor has given you a lab order or has faxed it directly to the lab location of your choosing. (Please feel free to call ahead to clarify the lab has received your order). You should enter through the “MAIN ENTRANCE” and check in at the registration desk (for the hospital and Convenient Care locations. Registration is done at the lab at the Legacy location). They will ask for your current billing information and then direct you to the lab. Registration must be done with each visit. Once at the lab desk we will do our best to quickly and efficiently collect the necessary specimens and get you on your way.
The lab will automatically send results to the ordering physician. If you would like to receive a copy, please ask about our Online Patient Portal>> for access to your results anytime online via our secure website. If you do not have internet access, you may pick up a copy from our HIM department (please bring a photo ID).
If your doctor has ordered a fasting test such as a Lipid, or Glucose Tolerance test you must be fasting at least 8-10 hours for accurate results. Some tests may require other patient preparations, please feel free to call the WRH Lab with any additional questions.
