Convenient Care
Providing healthcare services that are easily accessible, flexible, and affordable
Weatherford Regional Hospital Convenient Care clinic helps fill the gap between primary care and emergency care by providing basic medical services for minor illnesses and injuries. Walk-in appointments, reduced wait times, lower costs, and extended operating hours including evenings and weekends are just some of the benefits our patients can expect.
Convenient Care services
Convenient care is a healthcare concept designed to improve access and simplicity of medical care. For those without a primary care provider, convenient care is a great alternative to emergency rooms, which should only be used for serious or life-threatening medical conditions.
– Those without a regular provider
-Those who have an urgent non-emergency need that cannot get in to see their regular provider
Any non-emergency condition that is not life threatening and does not require a specialist can be addressed by our convenient care providers. Conditions and illnesses include:
-DOT and school physicals
-Flu, strep, and urinary tract infections
-Minor broken bones or sprains
-Simple cuts and puncture wounds
-Animal or insect bites
The emergency department should only be used for life threatening injuries or serious illnesses that require immediate attention. Convenient care should be used for less emergent health situations such as minor, non-fatal or life-threatening illnesses or injuries. Our convenient care staff are highly trained and will direct patients to the emergency department if their condition requires more critical care.
